I'm not so sure about that anymore. I think they (the Socialists) believe they already have the game won and now they are set on destruction of the American way of life as we have known it. I believe they are set on instituting the "one world government". Because - at this point who's going to stop them.

"Votes" as we should have learned from the last general election are really meaningless at this point.
I believe that short of violent uprising - revolution - bloody revolution they Socialists might well be right - they have solidified their hold on all gov't institutions.
If anyone out there knows a way to stop them - has any workable ideas - actionable ideas about how to wipe out the Socialists and to restore America according to the principles of liberty and aspirational pursuit of a better life for its citizens - PLEASE let us know.

@iThink I'm trying to stay a bit more optimistic, but I admit it's difficult. I'm not willing to concede just yet, and that's why it infuriates me when I see one Democratic policy after another aimed at garnering votes. My theory is if Democrats get a supermajority in both houses, plus two terms in the White House, it's game over.

As for your comment about whether or not votes carry any meaning these days, that's a very good question...and one I don't like to entertain. I'd rather avoid depression and maintain what little sanity I have left.

I tend toward cynicism on American politics - or is that just being realistic (in order to keep from having my heart broken).
It's hard to see a difference between the two. But I do like your attitude.
