@benthejrporter1 when we talk about "de-funding" it means to withdraw tax subsidies - tax payer monies from those organizations. PBS, NPR, BBC...are all living high off of the very backs of the very people they so obviously and shamelessly look down upon. They joyfully indulge themselves in proverbially "biting the hand that feeds them".
MSM - is not dependent upon tax dollars.
Not that part of it which is completely in private hands, no. However it's a start to drop state media because at least it's then not being funded by the state, either indirectly from the exchequer or directly through taxation. It is forging our own shackles.
