Trump is having a ceremony to celebrate the passing of the 19th Amendment. And this pardon! A twofer!

When we are living in a world he’ll bent on our responsibility for the sins of the fathers this to me is a brilliantly subtle way of countering. Amazing

Yes I agree with you Styx - and of course it was a very clever move on the part of Orange man to pardon SB Anthony.
Having said all that I still think women should NOT be allowed to vote nor to hold political office! LOL!!

Omg lol

That is a decent analogy.

How about going a little deeper? Anyone game?

Here is a pertinent find:

Abigail Adams to John Adams Braintree, Mass., March 31, 1776
"I have sometimes been ready to think that the passion for liberty cannot be equally strong in the breasts of those who have been accustomed to deprive their fellow creatures of theirs. Of this I am certain that it is not founded upon that generous and Christian principle of doing to others as we would that others should do unto us. . . . "

Since Susan B Anthony was charged with a crime for voting, when women were "not allowed" to vote in elections (a wasted vote) nor in juries where a vote actually counts.

So women were like slaves in America until they gained an equal footing (Christian principle...) and once having an equal footing they then could defend themselves in matters at law: in Courts of Law.

But that assumes that there are Courts of Law, which is a dangerously false assumption: boarding on criminal insanity.

The Judges (not the people, including former or current slaves, and women) decide in Courts other than Courts of Law, while the people decide in Courts of Law, and if the jury is being stacked, that is a crime called jury tampering.

Case in point:

“A jury of twelve local farmers, all men and all white according to Levinson, rule in favor of Freeman in 1781, giving her freedom and awarding her 30 shillings in damages.”

No women, no slaves, no black slaves, no white slaves (so-called indentured servants), just twelve local farmers, all men, all white, yet the Black Slave was set free in a Court of Law (suffering from jury tampering) and the criminal slave master was fined, apparently.

No mention of a court date for the criminal slave master, along with another criminal case or two involving charges of jury tampering. I think that case was a "civil' case.

So the analogy above in the video starts off with a Court of some kind, clearly not a Court of Law, as the criminals involved in the case are those who are guilty of infringing upon the natural right to publish facts: so-called free speech.

A competitive analogy comparing with the Susan B Anthony analogy could be an analogy where victims of the Alien and Sedition Acts were tried in Kangaroo Courts for publishing facts about the criminals in the National government, such as the fact that the criminals in the National government were accused of infringing upon the natural rights to publish those facts: so-called free speech.

The current Dictator on top of the Dictatorship (National government) Trump could pardon, for example, a historical figure in American history who was found guilty of "free speech."

Example Link on that subject:
[press-pubs.uchicago.edu]

Alien and Sedition Trials (1798)

"Thomas Cooper, then, stands indicted for having published a false, scandalous and malicious libel upon the president of the United States, with intent to defame the president, to bring him into contempt and disrepute, and to excite against him the hatred of the good people of the United States. This is the charge. The traverser has pleaded not guilty, and that he has not published, &c., with these views. He has also pleaded in justification (which the law provides for), that the matters asserted by him are true, and that he will give the same in evidence."

"They" may have stacked that jury too.

Who is they?

To the citizens of the United States by Thomas Paine
November 15, 1802

"But a faction, acting in disguise, was rising in America; they had lost sight of first principles. They were beginning to contemplate government as a profitable monopoly, and the people as hereditary property."

AND

"Among the men of this apostate description, is to be ranked the ex-President John Adams. It has been the political career of this man to begin with hypocrisy, proceed with arrogance, and finish in contempt. May such be the fate of all such characters."

So, as one can see clearly, the wife of John Adams is on record exposing the hypocrisy of those claiming authority of law while they clearly perpetrate crimes behind that false front.

Why would someone who is merely speaking the truth be someone "found guilty" of a crime, arrested (kidnapped), tortured (cruel and unusual punishment), all being done before there is ever a trial in a Court of Law in which any guilt is ever found lawfully against the presumed to be innocent publisher of facts?

Perhaps "we" have be dumbed down, and perhaps the real founders (so-called "anti" group) were publishing facts that matter, which to the criminals in government is always a crime when those facts expose their crimes.

"The judiciary of the United States is so constructed and extended, as to absorb and destroy the judiciaries of the several states; thereby rendering laws as tedious, intricate, and expensive, and justice as unattainable by a great part of the community, as in England; and enabling the rich to oppress and ruin the poor."
George Mason, 1787
