Trump has offered to assist.
The States tell him to “Stay Out”
Meanwhile they ramble on with the inane concept of “Defund the Police”.

It’s unfortunate that some Innocents are getting hurt but places like Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis and Several Others are GETTING WHAT THEY DESERVE.

They have access to Immediate Help but REFUSE to Take It ... THAT makes it THEIR OWN DAMN FAULT.

Until the people of Oregon get a backbone and vote their left wing politicians out, They get what THEY ask for!!!!
Western Oregon and Washington have been this way for the last century, what could you expect??????

1

What point was it to label them as domestic terrorists if nothing is being done to stop them?

Timing is critical WRT political survival.

2

Armed confrontation between civil groups is almost inevitable.

It's about time the military is brought out to face these terrorists head on!

That should have the been the response in Seattle. Maybe then that little girl in Atlanta would still be alive.

Trump fiddles while America burns.

The states have the resources and the ability to ask the fed for more to deal with the riots. If the president sends in troops, he is a dictator and trouncing all over states rights. What is it you feel he should do here?

You’re one of those asswipes pretending to be intelligent.

Can’t the city officials be held accountable for not protecting their citizens? Business and homeowners pay taxes for protection. There has to be some sort of legal recourse.

This sounds like the same criticisms of the federal government’s neglect of New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The problem is once again tied to a failing educational system; not a failing governmental system.

The ‘UNITED’ ‘STATES’ system of governance is wisely set up so that those closes to the issues have the first rights/responsibilities and they ask for assistance of the larger collectives when they are overwhelmed.
The individual has rights and responsibilities to provide for themselves first. When they are overwhelmed they should ask friends and family for help. If they are overwhelmed and can’t help the local churches and charitable organizations often help. The local government is elected and appointed to provide more efficient and equitable order and direction on common goals (security, safety, growth management, etc...). When the local government (mayors city managers county commissions, etc....) are overwhelmed, they should ask the state government (Governors, etc...) for help. The States all have inter-state agreements that allow the governors to ask neighboring states for assistance. If they can’t handle the issues at this level, then they have the ability to request help from the federal government. That’s when the president authorizes the support to be paid for by ALL Americans (except the half that never pay taxes). If everybody exercises a little foresight and responsibility, they can plan for most contingencies and have their resources available when they are needed and the whole system can run efficiently.

The system only fails when things are taken out of order. If the federal government jumps in without being requested, the state government becomes lazy, irresponsible and worthless. This puts an impossible strain on the federal government as well as they can’t be everywhere at all times (not omnipresent). They tend to try to remedy the problem by requiring the states do things the federal government’s way to enable them to efficiently govern from afar. They demand the states give them more power to rule in a way that makes it easier to respond quicker with all systems are set up for federal government response. They also have to tax more heavily in order to do the job of the state and local governments and all those under them. All this is also less efficient, because it isn’t close to the actual need.

Take this same explanation down to the state level, the local (city, county, village, etc...) levels. They try to do the same thing. If the responsibility doesn’t lie first with the individual and work out from there, we become nothing more than a bunch of impotent wards of an ineffective state.

If you think you'd prefer the government move further to the one you implied in your post, try living in a country that has that type government like Venezuela or the USSR before it fell.

There’s a reason people from all over the world try to get into the US.
