Power is what "Matters" to them, and it's all that matters. They have an intellectually-stunted pipe dream about what the future "could be"; and if only they could just Force all of us non-visionaries into the cattle-car, then we could finally get underway toward that Brave New World.
It takes Power to do that, the power to ignore your stupid "rights" that are just in the way.
Two tenets of their philosophy make them very dangerous:
"The needs of the many override the rights of the Individual", and "The Ends justify the Means".
Combine those with the elitist arrogance through which they presume the right to both define, and enforce subservience to, the "needs of the many"... and you get a self-righteous "movement" that will stop at nothing.
And I mean that literally... nothing.
There is nothing they won't do in the attempt to see this through. They've convinced their minions that their cause is just , and that any opposition is evil. That's not an ideological debate.
It's a Crusade.

Ironic that BLM is now one of the militant intimidation wings of the Democrat party, which founded the KKK to intimidate blacks from voting for Lincoln. But Democrats are so imbued in deception, that they hid in hoods then, blamed the KKK on Republicans, and hide behind hoods in Antifa now as well.

The common denominator? Not race. The objective for the Democrat leadership is consolidating power by pandering to their idealist gullible base. Constitutionalism threatens both, so they are anti-Constitution, and anti-Republican.
