Yes. Herzl was a Zionist.The Balfour Declaration paved the way for the creation of the state of Israel. The area known as Palestine was a mandate of Britain. Before 1947 Jews and Muslims lived in the area. Many Muslims were displaced in 1947. I agree establishing the state of Israel wasn't a pretty scene and to this day is contested - by even some Jews..
